Engaged full time in the major circuit all-age game
A bird dog like
A famous few
Known to them
And to some others too
Obsessed bird dog folk you may know
But unlikely so
Dogs like Fishel’s Frank
And Proctor, John
Muscle Shoals Jake and his son
Air Pilot and grandson Air Pilot’s Sam
Dogs whose reputations grew greater than their man’s
And through their get greater still
In the minds of us obsessed bird dog loving folks
So why do a few of us (very few)
Obsess about this minute slice of life
Can’t explain don’t try
But if you ever met a truly great bird dog first hand
